Pedestrian suffers serious leg injuries following collision in Yateley |
||
We’re appealing for witnesses to a collision that occurred in Yateley.
The incident took place between 8.25am and 8.40am on Tuesday 7 October.
It was reported that a white Hyundai Bayon drove out of the car park in front of the One Stop store on Reading Road, and was subsequently involved in a collision with a pedestrian crossing the road with her dog.
The pedestrian, a 68-year-old woman, suffered leg fractures as a result.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 47-year-old man from Yateley, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by driving without due care and attention.
He was bailed until 7 January while enquiries continue.
We know that there were several members of the public on scene almost immediately after the collision, including a lady who assisted with the pedestrian’s dog as she was taken to hospital.
We are keen to hear from these people so we can talk to them about what they saw.
